What is an EPC
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is the mainstay document of the
Home Information Pack (HIPs) which is a legal requirement for you to obtain
in order to market a property for sale. This became compulsory for 4 bed
roomed properties in August 2007 and for 3 bed roomed properties from September
2007.
The remainder of the market will be phased in shortly.
Once you instruct 
we will undertake an assessment of your property and based upon the data
compiled on the day an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will then be
generated and delivered to you.
The graph on the certificate is similar to that shown when buying a new
washing machine. The Property will be given a rating figure within a band
and information on how to improve the rating by implementing certain recommendations.
This will save on the energy required to heat, light and produce hot water
for the property over a yearly period and showing the actual amount of money
that could be saved.
